Beep...

Ok forget the presents... got nothing special... A sweat jacket, some socks, loads of chocolate, some money and a rock crystal geode from my sis... (my fave present cause I looooooooooove rocks <3 First I thought she's giving a stone to me x.O) xD

So in a rush yesterday I finished another work that is laying in the corner since an eternity now and is catching dust... 

If you wanna have it - original and prints for sale! =) (The original has a lighter spot at the top of the canvas cause that's where I had clamped it in my easel and overseen that I had to do the background there as well ... -.-) But it's coverable with a frame / if you don't look closely you don't see it immediately :)

Nothing more to say... It's about end of the year now and I'm looking back, asking myself: WHAT was THAT??? The year began quite shitty for me, being sick and having no money at all ... but after March (which is usually the month where things happen here that I would never DARE to dream of..) it got better... Been to awesome concerts, once more on the road as part of the Nightwish army while having some people in my back ... Then in fall again on the road with Elu, for another 3 concerts, again got to know many awesome people and some unexpected stuff happened... I almost went on Eluveitie and friends in a few days but the friend I wanted to go with has no money anymore so I cancelled it cause I won't go there alone, that's for sure. But I'm going to visit the concert of a buddy and his cover band tomorrow, haven't seen him for over 6 months... :( 

So my looking back on this year? The goods, the bad's, the clear's and the mad's... I've had it all. I'm thankful for every single moment.  <3  And thanks to everybody who was with me <3 My most impressive moments and pics from this year:

Next year can only get better :D I'm trying to make my biggest dream come true, wish me luck <3

Nothing stops the mill

Whew.. sorry been silent again too long ... That has two reasons. First our lovely old cat lady (she was 19 1/2 years old...) had to be put to sleep last week after suffering from kidney failure, which threw my mood and creativity into the cellar... May she rest in peace :'( 2nd reason is, my internet is mad at the moment, since 3 days it's slow as a snail and has up to 13 fails a day lasting about 5 minutes... I have no idea what that could be... will phone the internet guys tomorrow for that.

So, what am I working on? I decided to finally do an Amy Lee - portrait, I wanted to draw her for so long now and finally I have some space left to do it, since I threw away a few other ideas because I had to get the drawing object out of my head... x) I would love to upload some steps for you but my Internet won't let me do so -.- I will add them when it finally works again :)

And - I have so many ideas in my head but no time to put them all down on paper -.-° Can't the day have 36 hours like on Abydos? xDD I wish there'd be something like a thoughts printer... art would be so much easier with something like that xD

Btw - ever heard these guys? Sólstafir from Iceland, I damn like the stuff they're doing, and I think you can totally hear the landscape out of their music... besides that, I just have that thing somehow for songs in languages I don't understand, I can't help it x))

Also because of the many internet failures the last day, I made it to write again on my other story I'm working on ... it's kind of a Black magician trilogy x Harry Potter story... I once had a dream with the beginning of that story so I've put it down in words... It's a very wondrous world and I hope I'll get it finished one day...

Whew, finally a bit back on track, the bacteria left me... 

So... now for the news on my color pencil portrait: I'll cancel it. It simply makes no sense. It looks shitty -.-° Please forgive me. I'll practise in silence until I'm better. So now considering what I'll do next...

I also have a song recommendation for today, I discovered that band yesterday and am totally flashed by that song xD

Knock knock ...

*wiping off the dust* Long time no write...

Been sick the last two weeks, first with that bacterial flu whatever stuff and now with a proper cold .. but it's slowly packing it's bags and leaving. Whoever has a cold at the moment: tip from my side .. after brushing your teeth in the evening, rinse your mouth and throat with salt water (not the industrial stuff, but for example the himalaya salt is perfect for that) and put honey on your adenoids.. this prevents a dry, hurting throat after waking up in the next morning. And salt water is anti-bacterial. I also sniff up some of it into my nose to kill the germs there because when I have a cold it loves to move into my sinuses... Just a tip from my side ;)

I had some time to think about new artwork while being unable to do something, and I found a few photos from where I want to try a new technique - white on black paper x) I don't know what it's gonna bring or how it'll turn out but I want to try :D I also tried to do a disney figure again after a very long time because I've been watching The lion king 2 and 3 yesterday and my mind just dragged me to do a drawing ... here's the result:

  

:D The nose isn't very right ... but I guess I'll never be able to draw noses, be it human or animal xD I've seen TLK 2 last time when I was about 10 or 11 years old but yesterday I remembered scenes like I've seen the movie just a day before x.O I'm not normal. Definately not. 

And I'm still scribbling on my color portrait... I just don't feel like going on at the moment cause I'm frustrated about the way it turned out -.- I'm one of these persons who go nuts when something isn't perfect with the first try ... 

And I discovered while drawing the lion - 120 tones of color REALLY aren't enough, cause always the ones I need are missing -.- Faber Castell, y u doin this?? T_T

Not dead yet ..

Got the blood results today, it's nothing more than a bacterial infect so I'm taking antibiotics now... Still can't do much at the moment, my back still hurts when I sit in a wrong position and my circulation is in the cellar somehow but I'm still alive. Bleeding but undefeated xD (Do not take this literally, ok? xD)

At the moment I'm watching tutorials on youtube and testing out my polychromos pencils ... I chose Amanda Tapping as my next drawing object. Why? 1. because there's not too much hair that I could mess up xDD and 2. cause it's the only logical option cause I'm a stargate nerd again at the moment xD So we will see. This is what I did to test the colors xD:

Originally shoudl become a peach.. now it's an apple xD And I just love the mega color variety I now have to choose from <3 :D But still that little devil in my mind keeps whispering: 120 pencils aren't enough, there are still colors missing! xD I'm strange, I know xD But hey - someone has to do that shitty job, why not me? xD

I'm also thinking of drawing something architectural, since I'm still typing on my book (having a big bad event happening at the moment..) and had some visions lately... so maybe if I'm not tooooo lazy I'll bring it down to paper xD For catching some atmosphere I recommend this song - it would fit perfectly into the soundtrack if there'd be made a movie from my scribbling:

... because I'm sick -.- Been to the doctor already today, I'll get the results tomorrow... Feels like an influenza but without fever and the cold symptoms ... I really have no idea what this could be and hope it's nothing bad. Spending my days in bed and in front of the pc, watching Stargate SG1 ... xD

And - as promised - for all of you I made a little "draw this again" - meme to compare my drawing skills from ago 6 years and now :) 

I just will never be able to draw noses, no matter what -.- Don't be irritated by the new watermark on the old drawing, that's because I re-scanned the pictures lately ;)

P.S.: I think I now know what is bugging me... buddy google says it's a so called "cold" or "dry" flu.. same as a normal flu but without rhinitis, cough and fever, just like I have it here... Hope that stuff disappears as fast as it came... 

Well well...

Sorry that I've been away for so long, I had to manage a few problems here ... And excessively drowned myself in watching Stargate SG1 cause I got the last 4 season boxes not too long ago :D I just love that series <3 (And I do have that little thing for Daniel Jackson, I just cannot help it... mabe it's because I'm a geek too xD)

So what belongs to my artsy work at the moment: it's winter again and that makes my head somehow turn into a writing modus, so I digged out the SciFi - Story again that I'm working on since a good year now... Had a few new lines in my head lately and am now overworking the whole rest to make it compatible with the new stuff. My boss told me she'll help me to release that book once it is finished :D I will tell you when it's done :) I also hope I can afford a translation into english, so more people will be able to read it xD (And I admit, I maybe wanna beat Frank Herbert off of his throne... xD But we'll see, just not scream too loud yet, maybe it all goes wrong ..)

And while I'm writing this here, my internet fails once again... On sunday I had big problems here, first internet was gone, so I called the telephone guys to ask what's wrong, they made me set up the router new, and in the middle of doing this, we had a power failure here. -.- Neighbours told us then, the snow had made a branch fall into the power line near the house... 

Grabbing some candles going up to my sister watching TV (Cause it only blew away a part of the power line as it seems...) and waiting for the sh** to be fixed... After about an hour or so it worked again then and I finished setting up the router, just to call the phone guys again and ask what could be wrong cause it still didn't work. They told me then that because of the snow, the sender for my internet was also damaged as it seemed and I would have internet again in the next morning. Great one.

But well, that gave me time to dig out my story again ... Be curious and stay tuned :)

Ah yes - and for everyone who's interested - I made a kind of a portfolio now for my artwork :) Becaue I met a guy who maybe can promote my stuff a bit so he asked me if I have such things as a portfolio.. so I tried out that dA thing :) Have a look here: CLICK

Back from Ingolstadt... the flat I've been inspecting wasn't as sympathetic as I thought ... I'll keep on looking -.-°

So let's come to today's special - I'll show you how I more or less started drawing, cause it all began with watching Sailor Moon on TV... x))

I have no idea why the blog doesn't let me do align center but whatever... These are my first manga works ever, I drew the eyes upside down back then xDDDD And I spelled the names partly wrong xD But well, that's how it all began ^^

I also went out for a photoshoot on thursday to catch a bit of autumn's beauty, but sadly my camera didn't like the light conditions and I was only able to use a fraction of the ton of pics I've made :( 

And for the portrait now - the result was clear, pic number one will be redrawn :) Thank you all for voting :D I'm going to start working maybe today or tomorrow :)

And - if you're on deviant art - I've put up a new poll, and you can tell me your screen reslution if you like cause I discovered that a few parts of my profile are shown a bit different on the laptop and I want to optimize the view for all of you :)

Yea, I did it!

Hello me hearties,

so, finally I made it to re-scan almost all of my portraits - except for that "Sis" - thing because I gave it to my sis in the netherlands :) 

I also went out again for some photos, we always have this huge flower bush or whatever it is outside where loads of bees and butterflies are having a good time on, and today I found a Comma there (Click for Wikipedia) ... I've never seen one of those here since I can think x.O Very strange. To mention it - I love butterflies, but I think you knew that xD I always want to categorize everything that flies and crawls around, I just can't do it different xD (Sometimes I think I'm autistic... x.O) 

And - my mom made "Schneeballen" today, that is a traditional fried pastry here (yeah, tradition ftw! Except for the music here... bah xD), I covered them with powdered sugar :D

And - so you see my working gear now - I wanted to show you my gem of a new scanner :) Here you go:

It may be a little big, but it's lovely :D  I didn't even know anymore how good scanned pics look xD And I already brought my computer to its borders today xD I need more RAM -.- But that's impossible cause I have windows XP xD So I have to make the best out of what I have here... But it definately turned better now with the new scanner, I can work like a pro now :D *like* xD

And about the Tarja - pic voting... it seems we almost have a winner, the first pic ... I'm surprised because before it looked better for the other two x.O But better for me, so I can draw my fave, haha xDD

Ahh hell -.-

Just got an email that the delivery of my polychromos (I found a 120 set on amazon for 125 Euros.. because I didn't get the one on ebay and I'd be stupid to buy them for 139 Euros there when i can get them cheaper on amazon xD) will be delayed cause of some wrong inventory, what means that I'll get them between October 29th and November 3rd -.- Narf ... well I can wait xD 

Ok and - because I told you I'll show you one day - I found my very first portrait again on my harddisk, so I'll upload it for you :)

That's how it all started xD (I think it must have been around 2003 or 2004 or so..) I was still working with my fingers back then and you can see that xD Hm yeah... Let it act a little and maybe leave me a comment :D

These 3 I have already drawn ago ages xD My very first portrait was a Tarja portrait, I remember good, sitting in front of TV, watching Wish I had an angel, stopping the video and beginning to draw... I will show you the result someday xD

And I'm also sitting on ebay at the moment, cause there is an offer with a hellish cheap polychromos - woodbox ... I wants to have T_T Though I see no chance for me whatsoever. But I think I'm going to buy a box of them anyway cause I found them way cheaper on ebay so or so xD
